What is guardianship?

International students attending boarding schools in the UK are required to have a designated guardian who is at least 25 years old and resides in the UK. The school is responsible for the students’ welfare during term time, while the guardian takes over during school breaks—such as half-term holidays, public holidays, or times when the student is unwell.

Studying abroad is a significant learning experience and life adventure for your child. A "guardian" serves as a representative of the parents, providing care, reassurance, and a sense of security.
